Assessment
Assessing student learning is an integral part of the teaching and learning process at St Joseph's Tobruk Memorial School. It allows students to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and skills and informs teachers about the impact of their teaching. St Joseph's Tobruk Memorial School assesses student learning using the Australian Curriculum and BCE Religion Curriculum achievement standards.
Reporting
In accordance with current Australian Government legislative requirements, St Joseph's Tobruk Memorial School reports on student progress and achievement through:
A written report to parents of student achievement against the Australian Curriculum Achievement in all key learning areas at the end of Semester 1 and Semester 2. Student achievement of the achievement standards is indicated using a five-point scale. Student effort in each Key Learning area is also indicated.
Parent-Teacher Conversations are offered to parents twice a year to meet with their child's teacher to discuss student learning progress and achievement.
