Eco Marines and Containers for Change

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing students and staff for their incredible recycling and fundraising efforts through the Containers for Change Program this term!

Earlier this term, our Year 3 EcoMarines Ambassadors - Jack, Olivia, Rylan, and Sophia - enthusiastically launched the program. Every class jumped in, collecting containers from snacks and lunches to raise funds for important student programs like our Breakfast Club and Lunchtime Clubs.

Each Friday, Mrs. Kennedy, along with our Eco Ambassadors and support crew, collected and counted the containers from each class, tallying up the weekly scores and awarding Tobruk Tokens to the winning class for their fantastic efforts.

Final Results Are In!

  • Term 3 Champions: 3C with a whopping total of 559 containers!
  • Runners-up: 1C with 466 containers, and 4L in 3rd place with 361 containers.

Together, we’ve raised an impressive $500-600 from classroom and playground collections! This money will directly benefit our students and school community. We’re so proud of everyone’s effort to make a difference—one container at a time!

Let’s keep the momentum going next term! Collections will continue from Weeks 1-9, with the next winners announced in Week 10.

Parents and families, don’t forget you can continue to donate through the Containers for Change program using our school’s QR code at your local collection point.

Keep up the amazing work, St Joseph’s! Go Green with our EcoMarines!
